You don’t hire a web designer every day and you might be wondering how the process works, we aim to guide you as much as possible without all the Tech-Speak and throwing confusion into the mix!

Below we’ve put together a quick 5 step guide showing the different steps in our design process for helping you in creating your website. By handling all the technical stuff you don’t need to worry about that so we make it as easy as possible for you to establish your online Web presence.

Here we go then, step 1 is down to you…

Get in touch!
If you are looking to establish yourself, your Business or Organisation online it’s easy to get things started, whatever your requirements send us a message  or call us on +44(0)1865 522523 to discuss your requirements with us.
We’ll talk
Once we have made contact with you we will discuss with you your individual needs and requirements and what you’d like from your new website. This works by Telephone, Skype and eMail.
Proposal & Quote
Having discussed with you at length and understood your requirements we’ll provide you with a written Website Design Proposal & Quotation with an estimated cost. It’s then over to you to decide whether you’d like to progress any further.
Web Design Proof
If you say yes, we will ask you to provide us with Text and Image content to get started, we’ll then draw up a design template of your new website. From this you can see what your new website might look like once it’s been populated with your content.
Create Website
Once the design has been agreed we’ll create your new website based on the content you supply us with. We’ll put a demonstration version online so that you can test it and give us feedback. Finally, once you are happy to do so we’ll launch your website and it’s all yours!

If you decide to take Website Design & Hosting Services with us then to prepare you for the design & development process we have put together the following information on what we will need to know from you in order to help with the setup and implementation of your website.

1. Your company or personal name and logo
2. Preferred Internet domain name
3. Contact information
4. Preferred colour theme for your website
5. Target market niche to help fine tune design detail
6. Website pages e.g. "About me", "Sales Process" or "How we Work" etc.
7. Web content like text and pictures

1. Your company or personal name and logo

Almost as vital to the company or personal profile as the site is, a logo is the one brand element designed to be recognised anywhere and everywhere. So it goes without saying that you must have one for your website, your website cannot and should not be designed without a logo.

2. Preferred Internet domain name

If you require web design services then you will also need to choose an Internet domain name. Although we handle the Registration of the domain name and the technical stuff, you would need to provide us with the preferred name of your domain for example, mydomain.co.uk, mydomain.com etc. Proper research should be done to ensure its availability and we can advise you on this and the choices available depending on your requirements.

3. Contact information

Giving your contact information on your website would help visitors get across to you to contact you regarding your services and information as provided on your website. So come up with professional contact information and have them on your site. An online Contact page and email form, Location map and address are a must!

4. Preferred colour theme for your website

Many times we already have a picture of what the website should look like in our minds. Most times there is a colour theme attached to that picture, sometimes you just want a really nice looking white"ish" site. It is always wise to pass this across to our web design personnel to help us avoid doing something outside your taste. However, consider the impact the colour has on your visitors before going ahead with it, some colours do not work so well with some Websites, so be careful with your choices!.

5. Target market niche to help fine tune design detail

A website designed for 50 year olds would definitely not look the same as one designed for 20 year olds. So when discussing the job with us be sure to explain your target market and how you want them to perceive your website. This could be very important in getting them engaged on the website.

6. Website pages e.g. "About me", "Sales Process" or "How we Work" etc.

In a lot of cases, we will advise you on the pages to create the structure of your website and how best to populate your website with content, however you are the business owner and you probably have an idea of some specific things you would like to have on your website. Explain these pages to us and ensure we have a very good understanding of what you want from those pages.

7. Web content like text and pictures

For a web design to be appealing to its audience, visual elements have to be well organised and so does the content. So having things like personal pictures and text content for your pages like an ‘About Us’ page is crucial to the success of your website. But be ready to work closely with us on this, its about you remember and you know your Business or Organisation better than us, so consider what pages and content you may require.

We may provide you with a concept note that details, in our opinion, what we think your website should have. Then using this we could create some of the content for you, where this is not possible we will require you to provide us with all text and pictures to be used throughout your website.
